Dr Mark Abani

Dr Mark Abani brings together his vast knowledge and experience gained over 30 years in Agriculture, Taxation, Trade and Leadership across academia, government, the private sector and Not for Profit organisations to positively contribute to a better Nigeria and world.
He consults personally and through his company, MSCA Projects, on Internally Generated Revenue, Trade and Agriculture for the World Bank, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the EU among others. An outstanding leader, he was the Managing Director and Country Director (Nigeria) for Crown Agents and subsequently a Non-Executive Director/Consultant. He held numerous senior roles in HM Revenue & Customs, UK, a University lecturer and member of Senate (Federal University of Technology Owerri) and Board Member, Federal Inland Revenue Service of Nigeria (FIRS). He is an award winning mentor (National Mentoring Consortium, UK) and the YALI (Obama) mentoring scheme in Nigeria. A First Class Honours graduate of the University of Nigeria, Mark has numerous publications and workshop papers on agriculture, taxation, trade and leadership and is a member and Fellow of several professional bodies. He is married to Nnenna with adult children.
